I did some unique experiment on opal about 15 years ago, and that was to "Heat up opals in microwave". The reason for that was to find out what can happen to opal when been heated. This idea came into mind simply from my curiosity in wanting to know more about opal.
The result was interesting, so I would like to share with you the details of what has happened from this experiment. And in January 2009, I did it again !
