To find boulder opal, first is to find the rock, which contain opal, called "BOULDER"
The photo shows where large boulder rocks are embedded.
Large boulder rocks will be removed by heavy machineries. Only skilled miner can do this correctly or else opals could be dameged.
Always rely on your hand and hard work, each boulder rock is checked by the miner.
Skilled opal cutter then sorts out the quality difference, cuts and checks every piece of rock brought back to the camp.
