Located approximately 1500km Northwest of Gold Coast, this town has population of 900.(experience WINTON)

Boulder opal fields are further 100km from Winton - Opalton, Happy Valley and Jundah is where opals are actually produced.

Opalton was a busy opal mining town with thousands of miners in the early 1900's, but now only about 20 people live here.
